Risk assessment and risk management
Risk assessment is a primary management tool in ensuring the health and safety of workers (and others). What many people perhaps are not aware of, is that risk assessment and management is a legal requirement for employers and certain self-employed people. The course aims to provide trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to allow them to undertake risk assessments and manage risk in the workplace.
By the end of this course, the learner will be equipped with the ability to
- âIdentifying potential hazards.
- Identifying who might be harmed by those hazards.
- Evaluating risk (severity and likelihood) and establishing suitable precautions.
- Implementing controls and recording your findings.
