This course offers an in-depth exploration of climate financing mechanisms that enable the funding of climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives. Participants will learn about the key sources of climate finance, including international climate funds, public-private partnerships, and carbon markets. The course also covers financial instruments like green bonds, blended finance, and climate risk insurance, and how they can be leveraged to fund projects addressing climate change. You'll explore the challenges and opportunities in financing climate action, including issues of risk, returns, and impact.
